Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Adjuvare ("Adjuvare", "we", "us") is operated by Moriah Ogunbiyi, a sole trader trading as Adjuvare, of [ADDRESS], United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@adjuvare.app.

These terms govern your use of the Adjuvare website and app at adjuvare.app (the "Service"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.

2. What the Service is — and what it isn't

Adjuvare is an exam-preparation tool for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE1). It provides practice questions with explanations, mock exams, progress tracking, and an AI study tutor ("Counsel").

3. Your account

You need an account to use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old, provide accurate information, and keep your password secure. Your account is personal to you: sharing login credentials, or making the Service's content available to others, is not permitted. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

4. Free and paid plans

The free plan includes a limited preview of the question bank. The Pro subscription unlocks the full question bank and the Counsel tutor, at £9.99 per month or £69 per year (prices include any applicable VAT). Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

5. Your 14-day cooling-off right

If you are a consumer in the UK, you have a statutory right to cancel a subscription within 14 days of purchase and receive a full refund. However: by subscribing, you request immediate access to digital content and acknowledge that, once you begin using Pro content or the Counsel tutor, you lose the right to cancel under the cooling-off rules. If you subscribe and change your mind before using any Pro content, email hello@adjuvare.app within 14 days for a full refund.

6. Our content

All questions, explanations, case summaries, branding and software in the Service are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to use them for your own exam preparation while you have an account. You must not copy, scrape, extract, republish, resell, or use the content to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model.

7. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service — including attempting to bypass payment or access controls, probing or disrupting our infrastructure, using automated tools to extract content, or using the Counsel tutor for anything other than personal study. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access for misuse.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, change, or withdraw features (including the question bank and tutor) as the Service evolves. If we permanently discontinue the paid Service, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid period.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer — including that we provide the Service with reasonable care and skill — are not affected.

Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when you subscribed, losses not caused by our breach, business losses, or examination outcomes; and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Ending or changing these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be notified by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before it applies. The version published at adjuvare.app/terms is the current one.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — though if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there. If you have a complaint, please email us first at hello@adjuvare.app — a human reads every message.
